|I met an older blacksmith this past summer; he thought my work with horseshoe nails was pretty cool, and told me about making tiny spoons from horseshoe nails years ago when he was doing demonstrations. So of course I HAD to see if I could do it, even though I'm not a blacksmith and I heat metal with a torch....and VOILA! Here it is....(admittedly with a little help from my husband who gave me a HUGE hammer to help in getting the base large enough to make the spoon "bowl" !!!).
A single horseshoe nail is hammered, forged, twisted, domed, and sanded into a little teeny tiny spoon pendant that comes on a black leather cord necklace.
