|New for 2013.....while making my coin flower pendants, I had the idea to use some as links in a bracelet....thus, this outstanding piece of wearable art!
Bracelet is made from five of my coin flowers, all US coins...from left to right, Dime, Quarter, "gold" Sacagawea Dollar, Nickel, and a Penny. I did sterling silver "dots" in the center of the first 4 coins, and copper in the center of the penny. Sterling links connect each flower, and the lobster clasp is stainless steel.
Each flower is crafted individually, by hand. I hammer the coin, heat it, hammer some more, cut, dome, shape, solder, drill, sand, polish.....transforming a round coin into a really pretty flower. Raised dots in the center are either sterling silver or copper...when those metals are heated with a torch they "ball up"....I then solder those little balls into the center of the coin flower.
NOT your "run-of-the-mill-bracelet-that-everyone-has"....while I'll definitely be making more, these are time-intensive and thus "few of a kind".
